Joint R&D Platforms: Consolidating Innovation Resources for Co-development of Core Technologies
Core Goal: Create sustainable collaborative frameworks that drive bilateral innovation actors to jointly address technical bottlenecks and pioneer research in frontier areas.
Facilitate the Creation of Joint R&D Entities: Actively encourage and support partnerships between Changzhou-based companies, universities (such as Changzhou University and Jiangsu University of Technology), and research institutes (including relevant units of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Changzhou Branch) with Austrian partners (e.g., TU Wien, institutes of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and R&D centers of key Austrian companies). These collaborations will lead to the establishment of "Joint Laboratories" or "Joint R&D Centers," concentrating on R&D in technical fields of shared interest, such as new energy vehicle core components, sensors for smart equipment, and carbon neutrality technologies.
Co-apply for International Sci-Tech Collaboration Projects: Guide and assist bilateral joint R&D teams in jointly applying for international collaborative initiatives, including Sino-Austrian sci-tech projects, the EU's "Horizon Europe" programme, and Chinese government-backed schemes such as "International Sci-Tech Cooperation Bases" and the "Foreign Experts Double Hundred Plan." Utilize corresponding policy and funding support to advance the execution of R&D projects.
